Model history
Phoenix Budgie was developed in 5 inch and 7¼ inch gauges. Round cab windows and compact proportions distinguish it from the more angular industrial designs.
Phoenix offered its completed 5 inch prototype for sale in August 2020. Photographs and drawings preserve both finished examples and construction details.
Budgie forms part of the historical Phoenix collection. MRW welcomes photographs and information about surviving locomotives.
