Model history

Phoenix introduced Comet in 2013. It applied the established Project Loco approach to a compact industrial body with a cab and bonnet.

The battery powered design became part of Phoenix’s range for passenger carrying miniature railways, with versions in 5 inch and 7¼ inch gauge.

MRW continues the design through the Comet (2). The separate gauge links below lead to current specifications, options and ordering information.

From the original Phoenix catalogue

The early Comet range combined industrial narrow-gauge styling with the Project Loco family. The archived catalogue also describes optional lower-speed garden-railway gearing and distinct 5 inch and 7¼ inch drive arrangements.

This is an archived design description, not a current MRW specification or availability statement.
