Model history

Beefy Auto Truck was part of Phoenix’s range of battery powered ride on vehicles. Its open layout gave it a different appearance from the enclosed industrial locomotives.

Original drawings and photographs of completed examples are preserved in the company archive. The gallery records the bodywork, chassis and driving arrangement.

The Beefy Auto Truck was Phoenix's battery-electric interpretation of the historic Lister-style auto truck. The period description records 7¼ inch and 10¼ inch versions and a plain radiator panel for owners to personalise.
