Model history

Timber Creek grew from two battery powered logging locomotives built by Peter Griffiths. Their appearance drew on Climax and Heisler geared engines, and Phoenix developed the idea into a production design.

The chimney and boiler shaped body gave it a steam locomotive outline, while electric motors provided the drive. The original layout allowed the driver to sit inside the body.

Phoenix’s historical specification described two 750 W, 24 V motors per bogie, a pre welded chassis and folded or rolled body panels. Contact MRW with enquiries about the design.
