Class 37 Tractor
From the full-size survey to the miniature body.
Model history
Phoenix’s Class 37 development included a visit to photograph full size locomotive 37009 at Ruddington in April 2017. Those photographs helped record the body profiles, grilles and detailing.
Updates during 2017 and 2018 followed proof prints, the body pattern and the first mouldings. Further work in 2019 included etched nickel detailing, frames and powered bogies.
The completed 7¼ inch gauge model shown here represents 37408 Kenneth John Bull. The gallery brings together finished views and earlier development photographs.
