Design and history

The Phoenix driving truck was designed to accompany the locomotive range, providing a seat, footrests and storage beneath the seat box on a steel chassis.

Original features included independent spring suspension and a rear disc brake. The brake handle could be fitted on either side to suit the driving position.

Historical photographs show red and green examples. MRW’s current driving truck has its own product page with the latest specification and ordering information.
